ASA2 Version 1.26.0 – Your Affiliate Toolbox Just Got Bigger!

It’s update time! And this one is BIG. If you’ve been using ASA2 to manage your Amazon and custom product listings, you’ll love what version 1.26.0 brings to the table. Whether you’re a seasoned affiliate or just getting started, these new features and fixes are all about saving time, boosting flexibility, and giving you more control over your content.

CSV Sync Just Got Better

The CSV sync feature has been significantly improved.

Support for Features and Short Description

It now supports importing and updating product features and the short description / excerpt.

Field protection

Another important new feature is that manual changes to product data are now tracked. This means that if you change a value manually, it will no longer be automatically overwritten during the next sync. This gives you more control over your product data.

Product fields that currently support the field protection:

• Rating
• Total Reviews
• Manufacturer
• Merchant
• Features

Other notable CSV Sync updates

• New field: asa2_internal_auto_price_sortable (for sorting by price on custom products)
• Better handling of column order in CSV data mapping, so you can shuffle things around in your CSV and it won’t break the import
• Improved memory management – especially great if you’re syncing a lot of data
• Improved support for GZ files which could not be extracted as csv files correctly in some cases

This update seriously boosts the power of ASA2’s CSV import. If you’ve ever wished your sync could do just a bit more, well… now it can!

Multiple Product IDs in One Shortcode

This is something many of us have been waiting for. You can now load multiple products using a single shortcode like this:

Or use the plural option name “ids”:

[asa2 ids="225,226"]

No more stacking several shortcodes just to show two or three products side-by-side. This is a massive time-saver and makes your templates look cleaner too.

Find Products by Slug

You can now reference products by their WordPress slug – a great move for dynamic or content-driven sites.

You can even combine slugs with product IDs:

[asa2 ids="asa2-product-slug,225,226"]

Perfect for when your products are tied to blog posts or landing pages. The integration between ASA2 and your WP content just got way tighter. 💪

Full Access to Product Data via Custom Field Names

Want to tap into specific values in your product setup? Now you can fetch all product values using their custom field names. This makes templating and data manipulation super powerful — no more workarounds!

Public Product Page URL Placeholder

There’s a shiny new placeholder: {{ PublicProductPageURL }}. This one returns the permalink to the product page — but only if public product pages are enabled. If you’re building dedicated pages per product, this is a **game-changer**.

Other Noteworthy Additions

• Fallback option for {{ MoreInfoURL }} if no custom value is set
• Handy open buttons on the product edit page for your affiliate and image URLs
• Secret key encryption for the PA API now uses a more secure, future-proof method

Template Improvements & Fixes

The beloved Robust template now links both text and images.

There’s also a layout fix for the Flex_1 managed template – product boxes now make full use of available width. Cleaner, better, more clickable 💥

Bugfix Bonanza 🐞

ASA2 1.26.0 also squashes a long list of bugs. Here are some highlights:

• CSV sync now handles decimal places better and column order
• Shop sync avoids overwriting product values with empty ones
• Improved shop data browsing performance with database indexing
• Various shop browser fixes (search, table headers, read more links)
• Better error tracking for the API (e.g. TooManyRequests issues)
