The new ASA 2 version 1.4.0 is out and it brings a lot of amazing features and updates.

WPML support

The biggest improvement is support for WPML. WPML is a powerful WordPress plugin to build multilingual websites. With the new ASA 2 version you can use WPML to translate your Amazon product templates. You can see it in action on the demo page.

To learn more about how WPML is supported by ASA 2, you can check the WPML documentation page or watch the screencast on ASA 2’s YouTube channel:

Support for advanced ACF custom fields

With version 1.4, ASA 2 supports the advanced custom field types of ACF, like image. You can access all custom field properties, e.g. all image properties, with ASA 2’s powerful template placeholder syntax.

To load an image in your product template which was selected by ACF’s image field, the ASA 2 template syntax will look like this (following the example screenshots above):

<img src="{{ repo_custom_field_reviewbadge.url }}" width="{{ repo_custom_field_reviewbadge.width }}" height="{{ repo_custom_field_reviewbadge.height }}">

New options

If you do not want to use the ASA 2 Repo, there is a new option in version 1.4 to disable it completely (learn more). With another new option you can disable grabbing the rating stars (learn more). If you do not use ASA 2’s editor button at all, you can now disable it to keep your WP editor clean. Additionally you can configure to show the ASA 2 admin pages in English always, no matter which language is selected in WP settings.

New Placeholders

There are three new placeholders which allow you to access the collectible price of Amazon products:

New Repo filter

On the Repo overview page, you will find a new filter which will come in handy if you deal with internationalized (i18n) products. You can use it to find products which are already prepared for or not prepared for i18n.
