What will the next ASA2 update contain?

Besides many optimizations and improvements to the included templates, ASA2 will be AMP-compatible with the next update. AMP stands for “Accelerated Mobile Pages“. It is an open-source library that provides a straightforward way to create web pages that are compelling, smooth, and load near instantaneously for users. So far it is difficult to adapt ASA2 templates for AMP. That will change soon. With the new version, you can store separate HTML and CSS code for each template to be used in the AMP context. The supplied templates will already be optimized in this way.

GDPR / DSGVO

Furthermore, an update will be released in May to prepare ASA2 for the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), also known as “Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO)” in Germany.
